eEmergency Services to be Featured at Lunch Meeting
Erica Forbes, Emergency Department Nurse Manager at Memorial Hospital in Abilene, will be the guest speaker at the next Healthwise 55 luncheon. She will speak on the topic of the addition of Avera eEmergency services in Abilene. Open 24/7, the ER is equipped to handle any patient who comes through the door. However, access to a second set of eyes and ears can be beneficial in critical cases. The new eEmergency service will provide that extra support to Memorial Hospital’s clinicians when needed. At the push of a button, local physicians and emergency room staff have immediate, virtual access to a team of physicians and nurses who specialize in emergency medicine.
The event will be on Wednesday, February 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Conklin Conference Center of Memorial Hospital, 511 NE. 10th Stree, Abilene. The cost is $5 to cover the price of the meal. Please Call Michelle McClanahan, MHS Director of Volunteer Services, at (785) 263-6692 by Monday, February 19, to make a reservation.
